"the newcomer" by Mary Kay Andrews

COMING MAY 4th, 2021

Love! Love! Love this book! What a delightful novel. Filled with family, adventure, crime, cops and robbers. Fun! Fun! Fun!

Mary Kay did a delightful service to us. She wrote a book to help us have some fun. She created wonderful characters and places. Her descriptors make you smile. You are scared when you see a criminal, happy when you see a loved one.

This is a MUST have book for your library where you can read it over and over again. I know I will!

Mary Kay, thank you SO much for writing such a fun book! I look forward to your next book and the books after that. You have the touch of gold in your writing.

Now go get the book as soon as it is out on May 4th.

"Sunflower Sisters" by Martha Hall Kelly

It's the time of the Civil War. This book is unique in how it tells the story from the eyes of the south as well as the eyes of the north. Well written. Great characters.

If you are looking for a book that has deep feelings, this is a book for you. If you have an open mind, you will become engaged in how the United States of America came to war; how the war went on and how it ended. As a person who likes people, this was a very good book. I felt horror for the slaves of the south. I felt honor for the troops who helped as well as the north who helped.

When this book ended, it was on a wonderful note. Perfectly ended. Not always so. Thank you, Martha Hall Kelly for writing this book! LOVED it! HIGHLY recommend it!

When this book goes on sale on March 20, 2021, pick up a copy.

"The Last Garden in England" by Julia Kelly

Taken place in three time periods. Over 100 years ago and recently. England where there are castles and other large homes. Where people planted beautiful gardens. It's WWII. Those who own these large "homes" are faced with helped the wounded. People become softer. Caregivers.

A gardener brings even more beauty to the home.

Today's gardener restoring the beauty.

It is with grace and beauty that the story winds and brings forth fragrance, hidden pathways, joy. People find themselves being able to do what they never thought. Making a difference. Happy ever afters.

All in all, this book was fun to read. The characters are well done as is the "neighborhood" of where they lived. Pick it up.

"The Forever Girl" by Jill Shalvis

When you want to pick up a novel, this is a good one.

A story that brings very interesting characters together. One of the characters is truly my favorite. She's rough and tough on the outside but loving on the inside. This is a story about how a girl's family took in foster children and how they stayed "family" until the end. The most loving family.

Easy to read. Fun to read!

"The Children's Blizzard" by Melanie Benjamin

A story which led lives to the utmost abilities and yet, for some, devastated their lives. A beautifully written story about homesteaders in a land with no forgiving. A rough life for most. Good people being lied to in order to move where they could have land. The weather which, to this day, goes through Nebraska like a lion. Not caring what it takes in its wake.

Read about a family who raised two teachers. Each teacher handled a devastating storm differently. Human nature.

I enjoyed this book. Ended beautifully. I highly recommend you pick this book up.
