Jennifer Weiner is a FABULOUS writer! She's brilliant in how she makes us laugh and cry or almost cry. At least puts true feelings and beliefs in every book. This book is no exception. If you are interested in a book that is fun to read from beginning to end, this is the book for you. All of Jennifer's books are brilliant. I love reading her work!

Jennifer, thank you so much for sharing your work with us. For the last 20 years, you have provided us with laughs. Yes, those of us who are nice Jewish women, get an extra kick.

by Rebecca Raisin

A fun book where you travel from one European country to another. Friendship, love, vagabonds. A way of life most of us have never thought of....maybe dreamed of.

This is a book that is easy to read. Although not as exciting, it is filled with the wonder of amazing food and views! Don't forget the wine.

Have fun as you travel with a group of people you meet on the road.

The Clover Girls: A Novel by [Viola Shipman]

"The Clover Girls" by Viola Shipman

"The Clover Girls" is a wonderful book about four people from totally different walks of life who find themselves in a unique position. Life is composed of what we each think is important. When we step back, or get old like me, we see things differently. Life is composed of what we, ourselves, need the most. The only thing important is what we see as important. This book is about the importance of four individuals who become one.

Take time and read this book. It's fun and totally different than any book you will have read.

Enjoy!

Once Upon a Wardrobe

"Once Upon a Wardrobe" by Patti Callahan

A book that goes on like prose. A book that you want to go on forever. This is what "Once Upon a Wardrobe" is.

In a land far, far away, the early life of C.S. Lewis is told to a young boy (and to us). Be young again and read a book that will open your wonderment. Learn that we all go through good and bad but, in Lewis' case, the descriptors will move you and show you determination no matter if it's getting into school, fighting in the trenches or telling a story, he moves you. This book moves you.

Once upon a...

Go read it! It's truly a treasure that will be forever on my bookcase, ready to be read over and over again.

"The Saturday Park Run" by Jules Wake

What a fun read! It's been ages since I read a novel that was this much fun. So well written. Loved the characters and and the beauty of the surroundings they lived in. Wish I could go on a park run with them.

If you like a good book that relaxes you and makes you laugh, this one is for you!

"Surviving Savannah" by Patti Callahan

Patti Callahan brings to light a catastrophe which happened many years ago. The shipwreck she teaches you about and the lives who were taken, depicts a time when wealth, both in gold and silver as well as in slaves, meant everything. Prosperity was important. It meant everything to those who had it.

When horrible things happen to all people, this tragedy shows you how people are just that. People. People who need each other and respect each other no matter the race or wealth.

She brings to light finding the ship and teaching the city of Savannah what really happened those many years ago.

For those who love historical fiction, this book is for you.

Enjoy!

"Sunflower Sisters" by Martha Hall Kelly

It's the time of the Civil War. This book is unique in how it tells the story from the eyes of the south as well as the eyes of the north. Well written. Great characters.

If you are looking for a book that has deep feelings, this is a book for you. If you have an open mind, you will become engaged in how the United States of America came to war; how the war went on and how it ended. As a person who likes people, this was a very good book. I felt horror for the slaves of the south. I felt honor for the troops who helped as well as the north who helped.

When this book ended, it was on a wonderful note. Perfectly ended. Not always so. Thank you, Martha Hall Kelly for writing this book! LOVED it! HIGHLY recommend it!

When this book goes on sale on March 20, 2021, pick up a copy.

"The Last Garden in England" by Julia Kelly

Taken place in three time periods. Over 100 years ago and recently. England where there are castles and other large homes. Where people planted beautiful gardens. It's WWII. Those who own these large "homes" are faced with helped the wounded. People become softer. Caregivers.

A gardener brings even more beauty to the home.

Today's gardener restoring the beauty.

It is with grace and beauty that the story winds and brings forth fragrance, hidden pathways, joy. People find themselves being able to do what they never thought. Making a difference. Happy ever afters.

All in all, this book was fun to read. The characters are well done as is the "neighborhood" of where they lived. Pick it up.

"The Forever Girl" by Jill Shalvis

When you want to pick up a novel, this is a good one.

A story that brings very interesting characters together. One of the characters is truly my favorite. She's rough and tough on the outside but loving on the inside. This is a story about how a girl's family took in foster children and how they stayed "family" until the end. The most loving family.

Easy to read. Fun to read!

"The Children's Blizzard" by Melanie Benjamin

A story which led lives to the utmost abilities and yet, for some, devastated their lives. A beautifully written story about homesteaders in a land with no forgiving. A rough life for most. Good people being lied to in order to move where they could have land. The weather which, to this day, goes through Nebraska like a lion. Not caring what it takes in its wake.

Read about a family who raised two teachers. Each teacher handled a devastating storm differently. Human nature.

I enjoyed this book. Ended beautifully. I highly recommend you pick this book up.
